Study skills and Organization services are designed for elementary, middle, high school or college students. This service is for students who are struggling with keeping their grades up, missing assignments, staying organized, studying for tests, time management, focus, following directions, memory difficulties, or getting homework done in a timely manner.
The focus of the sessions will be on working on studying smarter not harder, organizational and time management techniques (typically called executive functioning), following multi-step directions, memory training techniques, specific study skills based on you or your child’s learning profile and/or learning to focus better. I will review grades on the grade portal your child’s school uses and communicate with teachers to support your child in school. Sessions can be conducted at The Multisensory Center or via video conferences.
I begin by interviewing you, your child and/or your child’s teacher and a records review. If we find that informal academic testing is needed in a certain area, that too will be completed. You will receive a report summarizing the findings and recommendations. A findings/recommendations meeting is required to discuss you or your child’s needs and how many session a week will be needed for your child to succeed.
If this is a service you are interested in, please complete the contact page. I will get back to you within 24 hours.
